Daniel Ştefănică

Daniel is the managing partner of Ştefănică & Florea and the firm’s founder. His work is primarily focused on litigation, public sector and energy industries. Daniel is well versed in handling complex litigations and commercial disputes, including proceedings pertaining to governmental law and state regulation, and representation in front of arbitration panel. Public sector’s areas of specialization are: concession, public procurement, infrastructure and utilities. Having an extensive experience in the energy and power industry, Daniel has been and continues to be involved in a variety of PFI projects, be it green/brownfield or up/downstream projects. His PFI practice was built up while attending international academic programs, seminars and summer schools with worldwide learning centers. He is also a practitioner in the field of taxation, providing the firm’s clients with specialized corporate taxation solutions on income tax, banking taxation, property tax, transfer pricing, etc. Highlights on his practice include successful representation and transaction closing for clients such as: Termoelectrica, Poşta Română (National Post Company), Bucharest City Hall, Oradea City Hall, Equest Investments, Romelectro. Daniel is fluent in English and has good knowledge of French.
Daniel is the owner of a collection of more than 200 paintings of reputed contemporaneous artists. Part of his collection is exhibited in the firm’s office.
